It’s Time To Love Yourself – Don’t Ya Think?

I’m very excited, the new year is almost here along with new beginnings. :) I honestly thought I’d be in my new
home in Ontario BUT things didn’t work out that way. It looks like we’ll be on our way next week now with a
container instead of driving across. (long story!)

So in the meantime I’ve been working my tooshie off..  I’ve wanted to have a private space for us all to connect and actually DO the work and have all the love and support we need to lose the weight.

Well, I did it! I got it all put together, honestly I thought this would take me well into January to complete but I have an awesome team who helped me and the encouragement from them has been incredible!

I want to improve my life and the lives of others around me. I want to feel healthy and strong, to be able to go and get groceries without being embarassed or feeling winded from the walk. I guess you could say I’m “done!”

You may or may not know this but about a month ago I needed a blood transfusion, THAT along with my daughter fighting cancer over the last few years has put me in a place where I know that I NEED to make a change not just for myself but for my beautiful children who count on me.

I put together an awesome place where we can grow together and put into practice what we already know to do.

Let’s look at some amazing health benefits from losing weight:

Seven Amazing Benefits of Losing Weight

#1 You’re going to look great - This is important too and it’s okay to use this reason as a motivator. It’s human nature to want to be proud of your body and your appearance. When you lose weight you will look better. You’ll be able to wear those clothes you want to wear. And you’ll wear them with pride.

#2 You’re going to have more energy! Remember those days when you felt great all day long? You were able to accomplish everything on your to do list with ease. When you lose weight you will have more energy.

#3 You’re going to feel better too – Overweight people tend to have poorer health. Simple things like breathing and joint aches and pains improve with just a little bit of weight loss. A diet that causes obesity also causes inflammation in the body. Inflammation is the cause for many illnesses and conditions. Lose the weight, lose the inflammation. You’re taking a huge step toward feeling better from head to toe.

#4 You’re improving your health – You don’t need to be told that obesity and weight gain are significant contributors to some really serious diseases. We’re talking about:

* High blood pressure
* High cholesterol
* Diabetes
* Stroke
* Gallbladder gall stones
* Cancer including breast cancer
* Ovarian and reproductive problems like fibroids
* Liver cirrhosis
* Enlarged heart
* Arthritis
* Heart disease

I know about fibroids, I have a big one in my uterus and needed a full on blood transfusion — I got 4 bags of blood!

When you lose weight you lessen your chance of getting all of these conditions. If you already have an illness then weight loss helps you recover and manage the disease effectively. In short, you’re going to live longer and have a better quality of life.

#5 You’re improving the life of those around you – You have a responsibility to yourself and to others to stay healthy and live a long life. You have people who depend on you. People whose life you’ve changed. You matter. Taking good care of yourself helps you honor your relationship with those around you.

#6 You’re going to sleep better – Ah, there’s nothing better than a good night’s sleep. Unfortunately, many overweight and obese people really suffer when it come to sleeping. Snoring, sleep apnea, and just general discomfort prevents good sleep. When you lose weight, you’re going to sleep better. Imagine how you’re going to feel when you’re able to get a good night’s sleep consistently.

#7 You’re going to see life in a whole new way – Sometimes it’s the little things that make a big difference. When you lose weight, for example, you’re going to sweat less. You’ll be more comfortable in warm environments. You’ll also be able to move your body how you want to move it – you’ll have better mobility. Aching feet, varicose veins, and even your digestion will improve.

Burn Fat: Get rid of that Tummy!

What are the best foods to eat to burn fat? There are a number that work. Obviously everyone knows that exercising is important, but diet is just as important. Here are three rules you should follow:

#1) Eat frequently.

This might be the most important point of all. Many find that eating 4-6 times a day speeds up the metabolism, which is critical for dropping fat. Aim for smaller meals throughout the day rather than two or three large meals.

#2) Eat carbs, protein and fat at each meal.

This is very important, because your body needs all three nutrients to survive. Without any of them you simply won’t lose the fat you want.

But not all nutrients are equal.

The protein, carbs and fat you get from processed foods is far inferior to the nutrients you get from whole foods. In general, try and get the vast majority of your nutrition from whole foods.

So what are the best whole foods? Here are six of the top:

#1) Oatmeal

This makes for an excellent breakfast because it’s filling and has plenty of healthy carbs. But avoid anything that’s been processed or sweetened. If you want more flavour, consider adding strawberries or blueberries on top.

#2) Nuts

These are incredibly healthy sources of fat. Most people are dead set against this nutrient, but you need a certain amount to survive. Also they have tons of protein.

But avoid nuts that have salt added to them. Plain raw nuts are best. Try and soak them at least an hour before eating for best digestion.

#3) Fruits and vegetables

Fruit is one of the best fat burners there is. Eating a wide variety of fruit and vegetables is recommended for optimal fat loss.

#4) Beans

Beans have low amounts of calories, plenty of protein and are very filling. In other words, they are ideal for fat loss. But again, make sure they haven’t been processed.

In conclusion: combining natural whole foods with a sound exercise routine is how to burn fat extremely fast. Get started today, stay focused, and you should see serious results in 1-3 months.

Patty -A Work In Progress

Lemon Thyme Chicken and Baby Potatoes

4 chicken breasts, skinless and boneless
3 tablespoon fresh chopped thyme
3 teaspoons finely grated lemon rind
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 large red onion, thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 ¼ cup brown rice (dried)
2 cups water
3 cups chicken stock
8 oz baby spinach leaves

Place chicken.  Mix 1 tablespoon thyme, 2 teaspoons lemon rind, lemon juice and 1 tablespoon olive oil in a bowl and rub over chicken.  Cover and refrigerate approximately 20 minutes to let flavors sink in.

Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large deep non stick pan or wok add the onion and cook for about 2 minutes until soft, stirring often.  Add the garlic and cook for another minute or so.  Add rice and stir everything together until rice is coated, approximately 2 minutes.  Add the water and stock and bring to a boil.  Reduce heat and cover.  Simmer over low heat for approximately 30 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.  If necessary add a little more stock and cook longer until tender.

While the rice is cooking, transfer the chicken breasts and marinade to a non stick baking tray and grill for approximately 15 minutes or until golden and cooked through.

Once rice is finished, stir in the baby spinach, remaining lemon rind and thyme and transfer to serving plate.  Top with grilled chicken and serve.

Boost Your Blog Income with PLR and Affiliate Programs

Do you have a weight loss blog, website or perhaps a blog that discusses healthy eating, dieting, or exercise?

Do you struggle to come up with good, quality content on a regular basis?

If you’re like most bloggers, the answer is probably yes, no matter what the topic is. It’s not always easy to come up with ideas to write about on an everyday or every other day basis, especially when they are on the same topic.

But, did you know you don’t have to come up with ideas on your own all the time? That’s right! You don’t have to come up with ideas to write about or topics to blog about on your own all the time. There are pre-written articles, blog posts and the like ready and available on the very subject of weight loss and getting healthy. It’s called PLR.

PLR stands for Private Label Rights and basically means it is available for you to use however you wish.

You can add your special touch to the articles and blog posts and then post them on your blog as your own or you can post them just as they are. It is always a good idea to rewrite them somewhat just to make them sound like they came straight from your heart, but you don’t necessarily have to.

Another great thing about PLR is you can use it to make a profit. How do you do this, you ask? When you’re giving the articles your special touch, you can also add in your affiliate links to products and services from the weight loss industry.

For instance, Weight Watcher’s has an affiliate program. Once you’re approved to promote their program, they will give you a special affiliate ID as well as access to text links and advertisement banners that you can display on your site or in your articles and blog posts.

The code that makes up the links and the banner ads contain your affiliate ID, so whenever someone clicks on the link, Weight Watcher’s tracks the incoming link. Whenever someone joins their program from your link you then make a commission. There are several programs out there related to the weight loss and dieting industry, and you can do some searching on the internet to find the affiliate programs out there that will suit your site the best.

Once you find a few weight loss and dieting affiliate programs to join, you can begin incorporating your affiliate links into your weight loss articles and blog posts. In order to get the most benefit from your blog posts and articles, you will want to be sure to add only the most relevant affiliate links.

Blog posts and articles aren’t the only way to use PLR. You can also use it to create a report or eBook on the subject of weight loss and dieting and then sell it or give it away as an incentive to have people sign up for your mailing list. You can also add relevant affiliate links to the report or eBook and when others click on it and make a purchase, you make the commissions.

By using weight loss PLR on your blog, in your articles, reports and eBooks, you will have many avenues of income without having to create the content yourself. Weight loss and dieting PLR can prove to be very profitable when you know how to utilize it the correct way.
