The word exercise to me just sounds like hard work.
That’s why I don’t kill myself when I go into the gym. I do exercise that is fun for me, I love to swim so I tend to do laps and other swimming exercises I learned at aquafit.
I also love aquafit but have been a real loner lately so I haven’t bothered, I guess I’m just not into the group thing right now. It might be something to do with the emotions I’m feeling and dealing with.
Sometimes I just float.
I go every single day, Monday – Friday. That’s the commitment I have made to myself. But some days I don’t feel like doing anything so I just simply… float.
It gets my foot in the door right?
At least I get inside the gym, it’s habit and my make up and hair always turn out nice after a good shampoo and blow dry.
I enjoy the “spa” area of the gym, inside the women’s area there is a sauna and steam room and every single day I go inside both of them after my swim.
I feel fresh and ready for my day — even if all I did was float.
Because I love swimming I purchased prescription goggles, I have never owned a pair in my life. It sure makes swimming a lot more fun when I can actually see something!
I also paid for private swimming lessons.
I’ve always known how to swim but I wanted to learn how to do the front crawl properly.
You have to breathe out under the water and I was surprised the first time she asked me to do this I suddenly had a fear of putting my face in the water. I gather it’s from all the years I’ve spent swimming “above” the surface.
All I’m waiting on is a really good swim suit that I ordered from my instructor. It’s more polyester so it will last longer in a pool with chlorine.
I love to swim, I float — today I did lunges back and forth, I just love everything about it.
What type of exercise do you do? Why?
